The world, this planet, the earth is a beautiful place. It has beautiful white clouds, sparkling rivers, beaches along which the rolling ball is splashed by waves, it has songs that people wrote a thousand years ago but someone still sings today, and for one moment once it had little Arenita the forever puppy; the universe is something so unbelievable with all the stars and planets and the sun coming up and nights when the moon is full and for one moment once the universe had in it: little Arenita the forever puppy, and there has never been a forever puppy like Arenita, and there will ever be again. Yea, forever puppies are those puppies that come along every once in a while that are not just young dogs but are pure 100% puppy - they come here to be a puppy and that's what they do , and that's what Arenita was: a puppy. Like there are horses and birds and fish and old cats and two year old dogs and puppies that are just young dogs and there are forever puppies. They last about a million years in about 6 or 7 months and then that's it, just like that, forever begins, "forever" a place where they will always be a puppy - all they ever wanted to be: a puppy forever: a "Forever Puppy." Arenita was the greatest Forever Puppy ever, and for some reason, she chose us to remember her. Maybe at only eight years old, Maria Jose had already done something so special or maybe someday she is going to do something so important to the universe that Arenita decided to come stay at her place - I don't know. It's very rare that any child gets to have a forever puppy somewhere in their childhood, and it's such a responsibility: walking them, loving them, taking them to dog parks, hurting so much when they leave us so soon, and then remembering them forever and ever and ever and ever. Oh well, I could just as well be singing about a chair or a toaster. Just like no one, no dog, nothing could ever catch the little rocket: Arenita, no words can capture her. There's no explaining why we were the ones lucky enough to know her while she sparkled through our time. For me, she seemed to come to show me something I always longed so much to know: what was my girl Maddie like when she was puppy. I got Maddie when Maddie was already 2 years old; Arenita was the first puppy in which I immediately recognized how my girl must have been as a puppy. Thank you, Arenita. Yes, I guess you were such an incredible puppy because you specialized, because that's all you were meant to be. How many life times to you pack in to those dashs around the park, could another dog ever have done more if it lived a hundred life times. There was so so much time before you and there is now going to be so so much time after you... like two great wings to fly you to where ever you are going; it's such a horrible world that you should leave us, it's such a beautiful wonerful world that you were here: two great wings to fly you to where ever you have gone.
