About one year ago, little Cleo entered the world, my life, our Park. Thanks to Elizabeth & Blake, who first searched for just the right dog walker for her, I was the lucky one, and even made sure that I was there to greet her when she arrived. One of the Park's biggest stars, her boundless joy and energy and - yes: striking beauty has lit up our Park like a rogue mid afternoon firework. Older dogs that might feel unincluded in the frolicsome whirlwind of pups or first time shy and frightened dogs are welcomed, put at ease, brought into the group by this wee wonder who will break from whatever play she's involved in to dash over to any dog she sees being alone, unbefriended, tentative: kiss... kiss... kiss... play bow... play bow.. a stick is gotten... a stick is offered: anything to cheer them up and let them know that they matter to her.
Wonder what it means that even if a song is a really cheesy one but it still affects you in a good way when you think of someone special. I'm driving when this song comes on the radio and I start thinking about little Cleo and I get all filled up, tears in the corner of my eyes and all. I'd rather it was the Bob Dylan version or the Chrissie Hynde but what can you do.But she has won my "expoobident" award for the last year in a row. Below is Lee Morgan's Expoobident which somewhat sonically sums up Cleo's boptistic approach to each & every moment.
