Blessing
Got this from Angel's Mom, Jill:
Briarcliff Manor, October 3, 2009 A Blessing of the Animals will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 5:00 pm at the Briarcliff Congregational Church. Lead by the Reverend Bonnie Rosborough, the event will take place on the Parish House lawn , corner of Pleasantville and South State Roads, Bruiarcliff, NY. This unique happening, open to the larger community, honors the legacy of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of the animals and friend of all living things. It is a day when we remember the integrity of creation and interdependence of all life in our world. Pets of all kinds, great or small, are welcome to take part. In the past the church has sought God blessing for the expected cats and dogs, but many other animals have come, including hamsters, chickens, and snakes to name a few. It is an opportunity to give thanks for the loyalty and joy that animals bring into our lives.
